Tour Star Alex Noren brings a new category to golf facility design: Tour-level design intelligence
Stockholm, 18 February 2026 — Alex Noren Design Studio, a new design venture in collaboration with European Golf Design (EGD), today announced its first commission: a purpose-built indoor practice facility at Landeryd Golfklubb. The collaboration marks the launch of a distinctive new category in golf facility design — one that combines elite tour experience with world-class design and construction expertise.
The venture pairs Noren’s two decades of experience at the top of professional golf with EGD’s deep track record in design quality, creating a studio uniquely positioned to deliver environments that reflect how the game is actually played and practiced at the highest level.
“EGD know how to design it properly. I know how it’s used at the highest level,” said Noren. “Putting that together feels like an exciting foundation.”
The first expression of this thinking takes shape at Landeryd Golfklubb, where the design focus is a space engineered for year-round player development — rigorous in function, enjoyable in use.
“Landeryd is the first expression of this thinking — a space built for year-round development,” said Noren. “I’m really looking forward to getting out there myself. There’s a great variety of creative and challenging shots that make practice both purposeful and fun.”

At the heart of the Alex Noren Design Studio concept is a conviction that the best practice environments are the ones players want to return to.
“I’ve always loved practicing. It’s been a big part of who I am as a player,” said Noren. “To make practice really useful, you need the right environment — good ground, different lies, real situations. If you can hit a lot of quality shots in a short period of time, that’s where you really improve. At the same time, it has to stay enjoyable. The best practice environments are the ones that make you want to stay out there a bit longer.”
Alex Noren Design Studio is now open to commissions from clubs and developers seeking to bring Tour-level design intelligence to their facilities.
